JP Rigaud @ Future Classics / National / WMC 2011

Deep Tech House Mix by JP Rigaud
July 23, 2011 08:30 AM PDT

With almost two decades of experience on the turntables, it has been in the last twelve years that JP Rigaud gained worldwide recognition. Unsatisfied with the musical growth in Miami Beach during the early 90s he decided to take matters into his own hands. He opened Zanzibar, one of the first venues on the beach to host the world’s top drum & bass DJs. There J.P. created the first successful weekly drum and bass night in Miami Beach and a pulsing underground music scene. Always on the up and coming with electronic music, he found a way to introduce different genres of sounds to a once wasteland of musical taste through his venue whether spinning or hosting new acts . His creativity, love and enthusiasm for new music have contributed to the evolution of electronic music on the South Beach scene & his passion leads him around the globe DJing. J.P. Rigaud became the first resident DJ of Nikki Beach Club in 1999, the infamous venue, known as the first European style beach club in the U.S. There he found his niche for almost ten years and perfected his new sound for the masses and once again turning the Miami party scene on its ear through his avant-garde sound. In the 2001 season, he found himself in great demand in many S.O.B.E hot spots such as Bash, Rumi Supper Club, Opium Garden, Spin (sister venue of Club Space), Living Room, Bed, Kiss and Touch Supper Club. 2002 to 2007 was no different, JP held residencies at various venues in Miami including the Sunday Soiree party at the Raleigh Hotel. In the summer of 2007, JP returns as a resident at Nikki Beach Saint Tropez then to Nikki Beach Miami for his Sunday extravaganza of seven-hours marathon set. In late 2010 J.P. gets a new Sundays residency at Mondrian hotel pool party and more... Among his travels, J.P. will return to spin in Germany, Switzerland, Austria, Holland, Italy, England, Spain, Norway, Greece, Columbia, Venezuela, Brazil, Dominican Republic, Puerto Rico, Hawaii, the US and many more wonderful places. So look for him spinning in your city soon...
